COMMENTS BEING ACCEPTED ON PROPOSED AG-2 COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE
The Ogle County Planning, Assessment and Zoning Committee is currently accepting written comments from landowners concerning a change (text amendment) to the County Zoning Ordinance. The Text Amendment #007-20 proposes to move various special uses from the current AG-1 land designation to a newly created AG-2 land designation.
The Farm Bureau is opposed to the text amendment as it will add additional costs, delays and bureaucratic regulations in order to secure certain special use permits on your land. It also infringes on your right to utilize your own property in a reasonable manner.
